Zelensky ridiculed by Trump’s son

The withdrawal of US President Joe Biden from the election campaign has become a major blow for Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, who now has no one to mooch money from, Donald Trump Jr. has jokingly suggested.

The son of the Republican candidate took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to post a doctored screenshot, purportedly the screen of Biden’s cellphone. The picture shows a whopping 52 ‘missed calls’ from Zelensky, as well as a handful of alarmed ‘messages,’ namely “my money still coming right,” “im scared” and “plz answer.”

The joke is obviously aimed at the lavish military and financial aid showered on Kiev by the Biden administration amid the conflict with Russia, as well as the ever-increasing demands for more, which come from Zelensky regularly.

The post comes amid a flurry of sarcastic messages from Trump Jr., who has been celebrating Biden’s decision to drop out of the race in the face of a storm of criticism from his fellow Democrats that the US president had faced in the aftermath of his disastrous debates against Donald Trump.

Shortly after Biden announced his decision and endorsed his Vice President Kamala Harris as the best pick for the Democratic Party, Trump Jr. suggested on social media that the two were effectively the same and the change actually meant no difference.

“Kamala Harris owns the entire leftwing policy record of Joe Biden. The only difference is that she is even more liberal and less competent than Joe, which is really saying something. She was put in charge of the border and we saw the worst invasion of illegals in our history,” he asserted, with the remarks coming in line with the statements made by his father, who squarely described Biden as the “worst president ever” in American history.
